Scholarship from the Association of Academic Urology for the “UroLogic” project

The author of the project is Aia Asé, our public health student. The main goal of “UroLogic” will be to promote urology on social media. Aia Asé, supported by employees of the Clinic of General, Oncological and Functional Urology of the he University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw, will not only present topics related to this field in an accessible way, but will also show what work in the clinic looks like and what systemic solutions can be used by a patient who needs urological treatment. The award was presented to the scholarship holder on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Association of Academic Urology by Prof. Piotr Radziszewski, Head of the Clinic of General, Oncological and Functional Urology of the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw.

The scholarship of the Association of Academic Urology was awarded for the second time. Its aim is to reward the best student projects in three categories: scientific research, application for mobile devices and promotion of urology on social media. Aii Asé’s project won in the latter category. No winners were selected in the remaining two.

“Since I am studying public health, it is extremely important for me to learn about the functioning of not only the clinic, but the system in which the patient must find his or her way,” said Aia Asé. “We will work on topics addressed to patients and their relatives and talk about symptoms that should be of concern. We will also focus on what the patient can count on ‘systemically’, starting with the most simple matters, such as visiting a urologist. I will also present the clinic, its history and the team working there.”

The next edition of the competition for the Association’s of scholarship will be announced soon.
